I am the director of the Civil Discourse for Citizenship Program at the Ohio State University's Center for Ethics and Human Values (CEHV). I lead CEHV's civil discourse initiatives including an undergraduate fellows program, co-curricular and academic certificates, student-moderated forums, and a teaching endorsement training program on ethical disagreement and civil discourse in the classroom. I have facilitated or co-facilitated over 100 workshops on civil discourse for students, faculty, and staff at OSU. I also teach philosophy, coach OSU's Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl team, and serve as faculty advisor for the Civil Discourse Society.
I specialize in Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy, and Philosophy of Social Science. I also teach and work on topics in philosophy of law, history of moral and political philosophy (especially Hume, Smith, Kant, and Mill), feminist philosophy, and philosophy of race.
Before arriving at Ohio State, I was a postdoctoral research associate in values and public policy at Princeton University. I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of California, San Diego in 2020.
